In Sweden you can fish all year round. In winter, ice fishing is a true experience. You set off with a drill, a stool and a fishing rod. Drill a hole in the ice, sit on a reindeer skin and enjoy the absolute peace around you. At Skandi Camp you go out with a guide. Choose the adjacent lake and fish for pike and perch or go a bit further and choose trout or salmon. Afterwards we will help you prepare the fish, because what is better than preparing your own fish?
At Skandi Camp you can take a cross-country skiing day trip. While cross-country skiing, you can enjoy nature and tranquility in the presence of a guide. There is a chance you will encounter wild animals! You can experience cross-country skiing on real traditional Swedish wooden cross-country skis, which were used in the past and are still extremely popular among Swedes today.
Difficult to hike in winter? Not if you wear good snowshoes! With a snowshoe hike you experience winter nature in a special way. It is the perfect combination between being sporty and enjoying the enchanting nature. At Skandi Camp you can go to the Gastsjö mountain with a guide to climb it or opt for a drop with GPS.
Snow fun should not be missed in a winter wonderland like Sweden. Skandi Camp offers snow fun in various ways. Stay nearby and chase the snowmobile on a sled, inflatable tire, skis or snowboard.
A dog sled ride is perhaps the ultimate image of a winter holiday in Sweden. You can of course take a dog sled ride via Skandi Camp. You drive your own dog team and take a cool day trip through nature. Marvel at the dogs that are with you and thoroughly enjoy this experience.
Hunting and fishing is a big lifestyle among the Swedes where Skandi Camp is located. Clay pigeon shooting and small caliber shooting should not be missing from the activities of Skandi Camp. In clay pigeon shooting you shoot buckshot at a clay pigeon (a kind of saucer). In small caliber shooting you shoot with a rifle at a fixed target.
The snowstep makes it possible for you to step through the snow. Skandi Camp will drop you off on a cool descent where you scooter down at a lot of speed, guaranteed fun for young and old! If you want more of a challenge, you can also go snowstepping with your own dog or the dogs from Skandi Camp.
We have a track for our snow tires on a beautiful slope. You will be dropped off at the top by snowmobile and you will descend with the snow tire. With a lot of speed and spinning around you come to the descent where the snowmobile drags you back up to repeat this again. Snow fun at its best!

What a fantastic winter holiday, really with a capital F!!! Every time you thought it couldn't get any better, it got even better! The location and accommodations are beautiful, the activities are cool and unique, all with the personal attention of a top gentleman and hostess!
The hospitality, friendliness and openness made it immediately feel like home. The knowledge about nature and life in Sweden was conveyed with great enthusiasm. The activities were full of adventure and fun, nothing was too crazy and we laughed so much! Highly recommended, for us it was a week with a golden edge!
